2011-2012 Schedule ~ Open Meetings

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, with the exceptions of January and August.  Guests and members of the general public may attend any open meeting for a nominal $5 fee, which includes the presentation and light refreshments.

"Holiday Tablescapes"
Tony Vitti, horticulturist, designer and Floral Manager, Nielsen’s Florist and Garden Shop in Darien
Mr. Vitti will present "Holiday Tablescapes" at Woodbury's Historic Town Hall on Mountain Road. He will demonstrate several unique and creative table arrangements for the holiday season. In a recent article, Vitti was quoted as saying "We bring our cut flowers out of the coolers and our plants out of the greenhouse to utilize them in the way people would want to see them in their homes,"
adding, “A table may feature beautiful throw pillows and candles, but it will also have a grouping of plants, branches, textured foliage and or flowers that all work together with the color palette.” Nielsen’s was named the 2011 Retail Florist of the Year in June of this year.
